Chocolate “Party” Bark

Happy Friday everyone! Who does not love a Friday morning? Do you have plans this weekend? I am heading out of town for a Bachelorette weekend!

A girls weekend must always include sweets. All week I have been racking my brain for a fun treat to bring for the weekend. Cookies were too cliche. Cupcakes are bound to fall over in the car. Cakes are not easily portable. But Chocolate bark is perfect! Better yet…chocolate bark with a kick of cake flavor. {Ummmm okay}

For this bark I used “Funfetti” cake mix. You can also use a classic yellow cake flavor or classic white. I wanted to add a little extra pop of color to this bark with the added “funfetti” sprinkles.

Not a cake fan? Just stick to chocolate! Not a fan of white or semi-sweet chocolate? Mix it up! You can alter this recipe any way you want!

Warning: The following recipe is far from healthy. It is processed, full of sugar and just plain delicious.

Chocolate “Party” Bark

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 12 oz white chocolate
  • 4 tbsp “Funfetti” cake mix
  • Your choice of sprinkles
  1. Heat semi-sweet chocolate morsels in microwave safe bowl. Heat and stir every 30 seconds until melted.
  2. Pour melted chocolaté on parchment lined baking sheet to desired thickness.
  3. Place in freezer for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat white chocolate in microwave safe bowl unit completely melted.
  5. Mix in 4 tbsp of cake mix. Mix in slowly until chocolate thickens slightly.
  6. Pour on top of semi-sweet chocolate. Immediately sprinkle desired sprinkles or toppings on chocolate.
  7. Place chocolate in freezer for 1 hour. Break and serve!

Self control must be in place to enjoy this sweet treat. I hope this kicks off your fun weekend!
